OMG! How amazing can Lila be??? TOTALLY! Loved this book!! I love Petra and Law!! Great Characters, Great Story, can’t wait for more!
I have to say that it’s kind of funny how the book world is going the opposite direction from the television world. Where once episodic television series are increasingly being consumed in binge watching sessions much like reading a whole book at once, now what would have been a whole book is being split into novella episodes so you get teased a few chapters at a time. But I digress, and I’m really just whining because the next volume isn’t out yet!! Waaaaaa
Again I find myself mostly laughing and a little grossed out by the honest views on hygiene and health in the new world. Because let’s face it, if the stuff hit the fan and we had to go back to basics of survival, the little things like maintaining basic supplies and sanitation are going to be crucial to staying alive as millions who have died on the Oregon Trail can tell you, dysentery and things like that are no joke!
Sneakily sandwiched in between the day-to-day survival, and the forbidden yet blooming relationship between Petra and Lawson is a land mine that is sure to leave your mouth open in surprise as you wrap your head around a pretty big reveal, and then really begin to question everything that’s been going on.
Between that, and the edge of your seat cliffhanger, this “Phase” of the series will leave you wanting more!
