Title: Dreams
four-stars

Being forced into a fantastical world was never in Arie’s life plan, but after spending time with her previously thought dead father, she’s falling in love with the world of enchantment. She’s determined to create a life for her newfound little sister, Amary, that is full of hope, tranquility, and love like her mother had done for her up until she died.

Losing her best friends, River and Starling, during the transition into her new life wasn’t easy on Arie, but a necessary sacrifice to ensure the safety of Amary and the natural balance of light and darkness. She is the chosen one who, through a choice of love, could cause the further destruction of balance, but is also the only one who could save them all.

Her journey is riddled with increased power, new discoveries, and a gut-wrenching decision that will further prove why she was chosen to lead the newly evolved. Arie’s mother always told her to follow her heart, and with the dedication to keep her mother’s spirit alive, she would let love lead and trust that the rest would follow.

Would love be enough to save the ones she protected? To save the balance of the worlds she relied on for support? Or would she lose it all because the price was too high?

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Completely in a first person point of view from Ari the writing really carried an emotional charge to it. When she was confused, I was confused, when she was sad or hurting you could could feel it, when she’s reeling from some shocking news, you get shocked right along with her.

Continuing on in tradition from the first book, nothing is what it seems and it’s even more so the case in Dreams as secrets are exposed and layer upon layer of the truth is slowly peeled back as we get further along into the story.

With a strangely satisfying and bittersweet ending that feels like a series end I’m going to be anticipating book #3 ‘Nightmares’ due out in 2015!

About Dani Hart

Dani’s passion for writing started at a very young age. It all started with a multitude of diaries, then as her passion grew she turned to poetry and short stories. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at USC in Theatre with an unofficial minor in writing. While at USC she wrote her first screenplay and post-graduation was fortunate to be hired to write another screenplay. As family life got busy her passion was pushed aside, but as she fell back into the love of reading her desire to write again increased, so she returned to it in the summer of 2013. She is currently working on a YA Urban Fantasy Romance series, The Life of Arie, with book 1 already published.

A simple man with complex tastes. He's able to leap genres in a single bound, enjoying a wide variety of books. A lover of multiple fandoms he's always willing to Boldy Go hunting Horcruxes as long as The Force is with him. And for some reason decided that doing this bio in the third person sounded better. But in all seriousness, I promote books and authors that interest me. I love covers and blurbs that catch my eye. And love to get lost in a forest of words.
