My heart sped up thinking of the nights we’d spent together. Alone with him, I’d been in heaven, utterly lost to the world. Loving the way his fingertips had softly slid down my skin and sent goose bumps flaring throughout my body, it was searing and his scent, intoxicating. How do you get over someone like that? Especially after the day he turned me into a shadow in his midst, left in the cold, alone. It was no different than throwing me under the bus. At the time, it had left me empty, a hollowed mess that I had been left to clear away, bit by painful bit.
But I wasn’t eighteen anymore and definitely not that fragile, naïve and trusting girl I’d once been.

Fabulous and Fun had the pleasure of interviewing Sasha & Piper
Piper, how does it feel to suddenly have a family, when you least expected it?
It blows my mind…never expected this. I’m so not mom material. I hope I don’t let anyone down.
Piper, how was your visit to Sasha’s home country, Moldova?
It was breathtaking! So beautiful and different from any place I’d ever been. The plane ride was scary but I tried to not look out the window. Leah and Cam told me the sights instead.
Piper, did you ever feel like Sasha may have used you for citizenship?
No, I don’t believe he would’ve. If he wanted to, he might’ve been more aggressive to get me back and marry me as fast as possible. He’s so not like that though.
Piper, how are you feeling about Ferris Wheels these days?
Ugh, never again I tell you. Those things are death traps!
Do you do anything special for Leah, in memory of Joss?
Every holiday and on Joss’s birthday, we try to make the most bizarre cake we can possibly come up with. It’s so fun. You should see what Leah whips up on her drawing pad. We attempt to turn it into a cake. Sometimes we get close, sometimes it’s a disaster. No matter what, Joss is there with us, laughing her bum off at our craziness.
This question is for both of you, how are the kids getting along?
Piper: They get along super well. Leah is the little mommy and she wrangles Cam like no other. I’m so grateful she helps us out a lot.
Sasha: Cam adores Leah. He follows her everywhere. I don’t know how they even survived without each other.
Do you plan on having another child together?
Piper: Oh yes, as a matter of fact, I’d love several.
Sasha: I’m in if she’s in. Piper’s an awesome mother. She keeps me in line too.
Sasha, why did you feel that breaking Piper’s heart was a better option than telling her the truth about having to go back to Moldova?
I was young and dumb. I thought I wouldn’t come back for so long, I hated to make her wait for me with no guarantee. Sometimes you just don’t think of the future in such terms. Only when you’re older do you realize that it’s just a flicker in time and things could’ve gone so much better.
How has being a father changed you?
Yes. It’s taught me to enjoy everything as much as I can. Time flies and things disappear in a blink. Cam has shown me that you must enjoy every minute, just in case, no matter what.
