Book one of the P.J. Stone Gates Trilogy

New Adult Paranormal Romance

299 pages

by D.T. Dyllin

For P.J. Stone, being a “Seer” who has never seen anything is less than fun. And P.J. isn’t known for her patience.

To make matters worse, she must choose a suitable mate to continue the Seer bloodline. Duty always comes before her heart…at least that’s what her parents taught her. When she finds herself wanting someone who is considered off-limits, P.J. is forced to question everything she believes.

As if navigating her love life isn’t complicated enough, P.J. finally receives a vision—of a threat to her world that only she can perceive. But no one will believe a fledgling Seer’s warnings. With nowhere else to turn, she may decide to trust a stranger with her life, her world, and maybe even her heart.

My Review

[usr 4] My review may contain spoilers. I will do my best to avoid them, but I think some are not possible to avoid. 🙂

Read on

WOW! This book was off to a slow start, I was not sure if I was going to like it. As I read on, I am LOVING it! PJ is a Seer, her best friends are Bryn and Jenna. Bryn is a Guardian and Jenna is a Speaker. After PJ starts to come into her powers, things change quickly for her in her life. She gives into her feelings for Bryn and they become intimate. With their kind their relationship is not allowed, because he is to be her Guardian, and Seers can only be with Gatekeepers. When their relationship is found out, Bryn is sent away and boy does all the excitement really begin.

PJ discovers her powers are calling out to others and she is getting attention from Jeremy a Gatekeeper and the mysterious Kohl.

PJ learns her parents were keeping an important secret from her. She learns her father is not who she thinks he is! That’s all I am gonna say. 😉

When PJ reconnects with Bryn she learns his parents kept quite a doosy of a secret form him as well.

If you like books with intrigue  suspense  love and more. This book has it all.

I enjoyed seeing the growth in PJ. She went from being insecure to being strong.

I liked how the book ended. It ended in a way that you know there is more to come. But at the same time it did not have any of those smack you in the face cliffhangers.
