Dominate or unite. Only one path survives.

After saving Manhattan from the alien Salvage System, Forge Warrior Chris Mason faces an impossible choice: become the Forerunners’ champion or watch Earth fall. But first, he must tame the fiercest warriors in the galaxy—the Rax’Kull. And he’ll have to do it without his powers.

Transported to Zhark’Thul, an alien world of deadly creatures and bizarre landscapes, Chris discovers his salvaging abilities no longer function. Stripped back to level one, he and his team must survive the insect-like Rax’Kull who mark them as prey.

When a young Colossus saves his life, their bond sparks a revelation: his true strength lies not in domination, but in partnership. As Chris rebuilds his power through alien salvage and bio-technology, he uncovers a darker truth—he’s a pawn in a cosmic game that requires blood. The Forerunners have been testing champions across countless worlds in preparation for the Void, an entity that devours reality itself. And Earth lies directly in its path.

To stop a force that consumes entire planets, Chris must prove that unity is the key to survival and evolve into something more than human.

From the New York Times bestselling author of Hell Divers and the Extinction Cycle comes Book 2 of the SALVAGE SYSTEM apocalyptic LitRPG Series where humanity’s last hope lies in the rubble of a fallen city.

Perfect for fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl, System Apocalypse, and Defiance of the Fall!

This is the 2nd book of Salvage System. I thought the book was good, but I liked the first one better. The conflicting name of the ogre was a little confusing to me, and felt odd. But the ogre is a really fun character. What I enjoyed most about the story is how the characters start as teammates and they ended up more like a family. The plants environment was interesting, nothing like I have ever read about. I like the unqiueness of it.
