Bella’s motto has always been that you can choose to watch life pass you by or your can be the one spinning the world. You have to get out and live, life won’t come to you!
Bella has always seen things in the world with a different view and has been an avid story-teller. She is enjoying putting her crazy musings into print for others to enjoy.
Writing is just one of her passions. She also loves music, reading, but most of all spending time with her kiddos. She grew up in New England where her brother, sister and many nieces and nephews live. She has lived all over the country. She currently calls Atlanta, GA home.
To her, one of the most exciting parts of writing is getting a chance to interact with readers. It is truly her hope that readers will reach out and tell her what they like and even don’t like about her stories. She’s looking forward to a relationship with the readers to better write stories they will love.
Please feel free to connect with her via Facebook, Twitter, Email or her website!

1. Why did you decide to become a writer?
I’ve always had many stories to tell that are actually far more disturbing and fascinating that what I write. Yeah life’s been sort of weird for me. But Hot Hubby has been talking about writing for as long as he can remember. One day while he was on furlough I decided to try to shame him into writing by challenging him in a duel of the word count. At the end of five days I had a good chunk of INK: Fine Lines written. Hot Hubby read it and after calling me a few choice words he told me that I had to finish it and publish it. The rest is history. I’m not sure where it will go, but I’m in it for the long haul.
2. Who/what are your writing inspirations?
The world around me serves as my inspiration. I also live in a house that never has less four teenagers in it. Our house is a haven for kids in many ways. We have business class internet because I work my day job from home, I bake a lot and we all know teenage boys love food, we have a pretty strict policy that everyone must express themselves honestly without shame or worry of embarrassment and we have a great love of diversity. That’s a nice way of saying we’re weird (no really) and weird people are loved and accepted for their strangeness in our home. When we all sit on the porch and talk I always listen very intently and glean lots of fun one-liners from the boys. “The Bros” as they are all affectionately referred to also either have or will be making an appearance in the INK series. Lobster, Squid, Bolle, Bailey etc are all real people who in the series I’ve utilized aspects of their personalities in the characters in the book. They think it’s way cool.
3. What are your favorite genres to read?
Love paranormal and fantasy. I’m not a big fan of contemporary.
4. What do you hope readers take away most from your writing?
My stories aren’t really inspirational or motivational at all, they are meant to be entertaining. I feel as though I’ve hit the mark with a reader when they contact me and say things like “I was on the edge of my seat, I laughed, I cried, I peed myself a little.” ßthat right there, totally made my millennium.
5. Who’s the favorite character of yours that you’ve written and why?
I love each of my characters, because this is my first series I’ve pulled a lot of these people right out of my own life. I will forever love Eli & Aiden for who they are and represent. But if I have to pick a favorite I would have to say it’s Trish. She says and does all the things that we really would like to say, but don’t because we’re hung up on being polite and biting our tongues. Now I think it’s important that in real life we all use our social filter, but Trish doesn’t and I envy her for that.
6. What is your writing style? Outliner/Planner or Seat of the Pantser?
In general I know “whodunit”, I know what’s going to happen to Shay, who dies, who lives and a basic check list of what has to happen in each book to move the story along at a pleasing pace. But I have a lot of times, where I’ll climb out of the writing cave, look at Hot Hubby and say “Wow, I didn’t see that coming!” For instance in INK: Vanishing Point I had no idea Shay was going to get trapped in an inter-dimensional rift. It just happened and it worked out to be one of the main plot points in the book and turned the general direction of the story arc.
7. If someone wanted to become a writer, what tips would you give to them?
The only real tip a potential writer ever needs – just sit down and do it.
8. Have you ever purchased something from a late-night infomercial? If so, what?
No I haven’t, but to be fair I watch very little of the tele. We also blocked the home shopping channel because Hot Hubby’s mom could get out of hand.

New Adult Paranormal Romance story. Twenty-one year old Shay Baynes has always had a different view of the world. But her world view starts to change when her scariest nightmares bleed over into the real world. No one understands what’s happening or why people are dying, not even Shay. How far is she willing to go to fulfill her dream of being a comic artist? What is she willing to compromise for happiness. INK: Sketches takes place a little more than a year prior to the start of INK: Fine Lines. This Novella contains background information that is relevant but not necessary to the INK Series. It’s a fun background read, INK: Fine Lines should be read first. [usr 4] I have enjoyed INK: Sketches. The writing style is good and is perfect in it’s way things are described. The only aspect I did not care for was the hint at a love triangle. I am not a fan of love triangles. But I do enjoy this book. I love the character Shay. In this story Shay is still dealing with the loss of her twin sister. I found it intriguing how she begins to feel she finally connected with her twin. The way she dreams and draws what she dreams is exciting. This was a tough book to put down, I wanted to keep reading and not stop, but my four year old kept holding my Kindle for ransom to watch her videos on Netflix. I wanted to keep reading because I was excited to see what was going to happen on the next page. |

INK: Fine Lines is book 1 in a New Adult, Paranormal Romance series. Shay Baynes is a wanted woman: by the police for a double murder, by two rival suitors, and by the evil specter that haunts her dreams. It’s her twenty-first birthday and she finally feels like she’s in charge, out on her own and about to hit it big with a new comic series. The ink’s not even dry on her breakout first issue but even Shay’s twisted imagination can’t predict what will happen when the fine line between reality and nightmare is crossed… She walked away once from the men who want to control her and now they’re back. But can she break away from them and the specter who walks right off the pages of her comic committing gruesome murders.
[usr 4] I really enjoyed Fine Lines. I love how it has the POV’s of the different characters, and I love the writing style. It keeps you interested. This was hard to put down. I love the way Shay dreams of things, and they end up about something that was real. I love Shay, I love her sassiness and attitude. The only thing I do not care for is the love triangle. I don’t like love triangles. The story is so good with this book, the love triangle does not bother me. As I am reading, I am very intrigued with Gabriel, all while thinking “Who is this guy? and “Is he real?” Oh WOW! What an exciting ending! It’s a cliff hanger, I don’t normally like cliff hangers, but this one was WOW!. |
